She is doing great and loves being a missionary! She knows that her time in Battleground is most likely coming to an end which makes her a little sad because she has loved serving there but is happy to go where the Lord needs her. Here is a little snippet from her email this week.
I was able to have a really amazing personal study the other day and it was about prayer, receiving revelation and faith. I invite each of you to read Elder Richard G. Scott’s general conference talk from April 2012. This talk is one of my new favorites. It helped my testimony grow of the gospel and of prayer and how important it is. One thing he said in his talk is that when you pray, and you feel you have received an answer, pray and ask to know if you know all you need to in order to get your answer. He also says that when it is for the Lord’s purposes He can bring anything to our remembrance. The last thing I loved that he shares is to carefully look for evidence in your own life that He may have already answered you. I LOVE that! How amazing it is to have the knowledge that we do in knowing that He wants to answer us and He wants to talk to us. If we only have faith that He will answer us and are willing to listen then and only then will we receive the answer we need. I read in Alma when Ammon smites off all of the arms of his enemies because he had faith in the Lord. Now I’m not saying that we need to have faith that we can smite people’s arms off! I am simply saying that he had faith that the Lord would help him in all things including these trials he had to face. It also talked about joy. Joy is something that I love! I love being a happy person! It is hard to have joy all of the time but I know that as we pray for it and ask that He will help us. He will help us find joy in all things and enjoy to the end! I know each of you are beloved sons and daughters of God and I appreciate you all for all you do! I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ so much and I know He lives! I say this in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
