JamieWalkerJamie N. Walker is a Freshman at North Sanpete High School. As a Beehive, she made a goal to earn her Young Womanhood Recognition before becoming a Mia Maid, and worked very hard to accomplish it. Jamie loves life and has lived up to her family nickname, “Jamie Joy.” She has a happy disposition, and loves people. Her main interests encompass music, dance, and performance. Many of her Personal Progress goals enabled her to further develop these talents. In addition to violin and ballroom dance, she set and accomplished goals in sketching, painting, redecorating her bedroom, participating in the Mormon Miracle Pageant, cooking, literature, and service projects. Through Personal Progress she has truly helped strengthen her own home and family as she continues her gospel journey towards the temple.

AnnaStakerAnna received her Young Womanhood Recognition this year after working very hard all throughout her Young Women years.  She worked every year on various projects (learning to play tennis as a Freshman and working her way up until she was able to play a Varsity tennis game this year, which she won and thus qualified because of her 4.0 GPA as Academic All-State; photography; running; cooking; sewing; playing the piano; camping; and learning leadership responsibilities such as Student Body Officer as Secretary this year; etc.) as she gained her goal to earn this recognition award.  Through it all, she read her scriptures and did the various activities including writing them all in her journal as she increased her testimony in our Savior.  She loves her family and her favorite activity is to be at home and read a good book.  She wanted to earn this before she graduated and as promised her mom earned her Bee award along with her as seen in this picture.

Aronic Preisthood   Young Women

“One of the blessings of membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the privilege of paying tithing. This privilege is a double blessing. By paying tithing, Church members show their gratitude to God for their blessings and their resolve to trust in the Lord rather than in material things. They also help further the work of the Lord in the earth, blessing others of God’s children with the opportunity to learn of Him and grow in the gospel.” Topics (Tithing)

Knowledge (Green)

Value: Knowledge (Green) Sunday lessons: The Commandments

All of our Young Women in our Ward are amazing. They are all great examples of daughters of our Heavenly Father.  We wanted to share with the ward our Young Women’s theme that we recite each Sunday. We stand for truth and righteousness…. “We are daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us and we love him. We will stand as witness of God at all times and in all places as we strife to live the Young Women values which are Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity and Virtue. We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values. We will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.”

We also have some great Activities coming up this fall. All parents and young women, please join our Facebook page: “Mt Pleasant 4th Ward Young Women” for all the latest info. about what is happening!
